There are no indications that the opioid crisis is slowing down with the number of opioid related drug overdoses in Broward totaling 282 in the first six-months of this year. I will host an Opioid Town Hall Meeting on August 24th  at Pines City Hall, 601 City Center Way, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025 with government leaders, healthcare professionals, substance abuse specialists, first responders, educators and other interested parties. This epidemic has no boundaries, no age limits, no race or nationality exclusion and no socio-economic status. This crisis is affecting all of us on a daily basis. For more information, call our office at: 954 357-7008
