With the arrival of our rainy season, Broward County’s Mosquito Control Inspectors are already working to eliminate breeding sites around homes and businesses. Residents and business owners are urged to survey their property regularly to remove ALL standing water to prevent mosquito breeding, bites and diseases. Mosquitoes are not just a nuisance, they are a public health issue. It’s also a good idea to wear long pants and long sleeved clothing when outdoors. The mosquito that carries the Zika virus (Aedes Aegypti and Aedes albopictus) bites all day long, not just dawn to dusk. For more info: Broward.Org/ZapZika or 954-765-4062.
