We’re in the rainy season which brings tons of mosquitoes. Water creates the perfect opportunity for mosquitoes to thrive. They breed in small amounts of water that collect in containers like bottles, cans, cups, buckets, hoses, planters, drains and plants. Dump anything that holds water, including clogged roof gutters. Mosquitoes are annoying and can carry serious diseases such as encephalitis, yellow fever, dengue and malaria. You can avoid mosquito bites by using insect repellent (formulated with Permethrin, Picaridin, or DEET), and by wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants when outside. Be a good neighbor and do your part. More info: https://www.broward.org/Mosquito/Pages/Default.aspx
