Broward County Schools will begin on August 19th the same way it ended in June: VIRTUALLY. While Broward’s COVID-19 rates have been trending downward, there are still a lot of unanswered questions with this Pandemic and children. We do know children are getting the virus and can and are transmitting the virus too. To err on the side of caution, schools are beginning virtually, but it shouldn’t be the long-term solution. The goal should be to get our students and teachers back in a face-to-face classroom environment ensuring all CDC guidelines are followed and making our schools safe for everyone.
