It was a pleasure hearing from the panelists which included Mario M. Cartaya, Patrick Collins, Peter Moore & Paxti Pastor. Very informative meeting.

County Coalition Meeting

Attending the County Coalition for Responsible Management of Lake Okeechobee, St. Lucie & the Caloosahatchee Estuaries, and the Lake Worth Lagoon Meeting in Okeechobee. Excited that Broward County is now represented in the Coalition. Great updates/presentations were provided by the US Army Corps of Engineers, South Florida Water Management District, & Lake Worth Lagoon.

Democratic Professionals Network of Broward County Zoom Meeting

Honored to be the guest speaker on the Democratic Professionals Network of Broward County Virtual Meeting tonight. I spoke about a variety topics including the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out & distribution within the County especially for all teachers and our underprivileged communities.

C-51 Reservoir Groundbreaking Ceremony

I attended the C-51 Reservoir Groundbreaking Ceremony. This was a 15-year collaboration with regional stakeholders. When completed, the C-51 Reservoir will serve the region by storing excess wet-season stormwater for later distribution & use during the dry season to recharge the Biscayne Aquifer, the primary source of drinking water for South Florida.
